Artist Statement
I am fascinated by the universality of forms and evolutionary processes of our natural world. The glacial forces that shaped Michigan’s lakes, are among many interests that I research, looking to science and micro/macro views to inform my imagery and reveal commonalities that exist across time, place and scale. Grounded by a process attuned to nature’s rhythms, I evolve a distilled vocabulary to make interpretive and metaphorical connections to our fluid world, showing forms as they cycle and reinvent in spatially shifting narratives.
